Resting!?!? How ‘good’ are you at it?

I am passionate about finding different ways to help us relax, rest, recharge and quiet the mind… These are all things that I struggled with for a long time. 

I have had several conversations over the last couple of weeks about resting… How ‘good’ are you at it?

What is resting? 

Resting typically refers to a state of relaxation or inactivity in which you take a break from physical or mental exertion… 

The conversations I have been having have been around the guilt, shame, and discomfort we have doing ‘nothing’. 

That quote stopped me in my tracks… Society / the capitalist system wants us to keep producing with an attitude of more, more, more. Never satisfied with what we have, needing to upgrade, have the newest model of XYZ… Rest is something you do when you are dead! 

We are all part of that society. How much we choose to participate and how we show up in it,  is up to you as an individual. 

BUT, if you are exhausted and feel like you can’t keep up, there is no time to think. You keep pushing through each day, hoping tomorrow you will catch up. 

Then you need to do something about it. 

You can’t heal in the environment you got unwell in – whether that’s physical, mental or emotional health. 

Things NEED to change. 

Learn how to rest…

Give yourself a half day to reset your body and mind over 3 hours: 

We have a check-in to see what’s going on with you, a movement session (Pilates/Yoga/Whatever you need), guided meditation, massage/Reiki/Access Bars/Sound Bath (tailored to your needs) so you leave feeling like you have reset and proper rest.

Stay hydrated with herbal teas, cacao & water.  

All hosted at my private home studio in Springburn.
