Burnout doesn’t care how much you’ve achieved. And a weekend of facials and champagne isn’t going to sort your nervous system. This retreat is different because it’s built around what your body actually needs, not what looks good on an Instagram grid.

We’re taking eight women to Scotland’s west coast for 3 nights of proper rest, wild food, movement that makes sense, and the kind of quiet that genuinely soothes you. You’ll leave knowing what your body was trying to tell you all along.

What’s waiting for you

Each session is chosen for a reason. Everything either moves something in your body, quietens something in your nervous system, or feeds your soul.

Mindful Movement
Fascia pilates, lymphatic drainage as a self-care routine, foot massage, and mobility work. All on the beach or in the lodge (weather depending), set against the kind of backdrop that makes you actually want to move.

Reiki Drumming Meditation
Three guided drumming meditations across the four days. Rhythm grounds you in a way that most breathwork apps never will. No experience needed.

Forest Bathing
Join us for a walk in the woods. A deliberate, slow immersion that research consistently shows reduces cortisol and genuinely lowers stress.

Wild Food & Foraging
Vicky leads you into Scotland’s wild larder to harvest what’s in season. Every meal on the retreat includes wild ingredients she’s gathered, so you’re eating the land you’re standing on.

Seaweed & Salt Scrub
On Sunday morning, you’ll head to the shoreline to collect seaweed, then create your own salt scrub to do before we enter the sauna – rinse off either in the sea or the shower at the sauna. Ancient practice, extraordinary skin, zero synthetics.

Barrel Sauna
Private use of a woodland barrel sauna on Sunday afternoon overlooking the bay. Deep muscle release, sweating out the toxins, and the kind of heat that makes you go completely quiet inside.

Hot Tub Evenings
Each lodge has its own private hot tub. Every evening after the drumming meditation, it’s yours. Stars, sea air, and nothing on your to-do list.

Wild Food Feasts
Vicky is an exceptional cook. Every meal from Friday dinner to Monday breakfast is made with care, with wild and seasonal ingredients woven through every plate. You won’t ever want to leave after Vicky’s feasts.

Who’s leading the retreat

Two practitioners who’ve spent years doing the real work. Between us, we’re bringing bodywork, nervous system knowledge, and a serious love of wild Scottish food.

Jen Wilson — The Healing Rebel, Glasgow
Jen is an integrative bodywork practitioner based in North Glasgow with over 17 years in practice and a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science. She works with the body’s fascia and nervous system, and is known for cutting through the noise to give women tools that actually work. She’ll be leading the fascia pilates, lymphatic drainage, mobility workshops, and all three Reiki drumming meditations.

Vicky Manning — The Little Foragers Kitchen
Vicky is a forager, cook, and nature connection guide who knows Scotland’s wild larder better than most people know their own kitchen cupboards. She’ll be leading the forest bathing and foraging sessions, the seaweed collection, and cooking every meal on the retreat using seasonal wild ingredients harvested from the land around you.

Retreat FAQ

A. In general, any edible plant, fungi, seaweed or animal that grows without cultivation by Humans and is taken from it’s natural habitat for Human consumption. Popular wild foods are Nettles, Wild Garlic, Brambles/Blackberries.

Q. Will the meals contain any meat?
A. All meals will be vegetarian and include wild ingredients.

Q. I have food allergies. Can you accommodate me?
A. Please speak to Vicky BEFORE booking as there are some allergies we cannot guarantee catering or safety. Please email Vicky thelittleforagerskitchen@gmail.com

Q. I am not fit or flexible. Can I still join?
A. You can participate as long as you can walk and get up and down from the floor. There will be adaptations given for all fitness/flexibility levels. All sessions are optional. If you have any concerns, please email Jen to discuss jen@iamjenwilson.com
Q. What if I need to cancel?
A. All deposits are non-refundable, so we strongly advise that you take out appropriate travel insurance when booking. The final balance is due by 15th Jan 2027. From this date onward, the balance will be non-refundable. You can transfer your booking to another person and have them recompensate you, if you find someone else to take your place.

Q. Will I be sharing a room with anyone else?
A. No, all rooms are sold as single occupancy.

Q. Can I get an en suite room?
A. Only the double rooms are en suite, and these are subject to availabiltiy. The main toilet will only be shared between the 2 other rooms in the lodge.

Q. Can I bring my pet?
A. Sadly no, pets cannot be part of this retreat.

Q. Will there be kids?
A. No, this retreat is strictly for adults only.

A. No, this is a dry event, so we respectfully ask you not to bring or consume any alcohol during the retreat.

Q. Is there wheelchair access?
A. Neither the venue nor the activities on the retreat are suitable for wheelchair users.

A. All activities are optional, but to get the most out of the weekend, we encourage you to participate as much as possible. Please feel free to spend downtime away from the group if you want/need to recharge alone.

Q. Is this retreat suitable for beginners?
A. Yes. Every session is designed to meet you where you are. You don’t need any prior experience of pilates, meditation, foraging, or anything else on the programme. Come as you are.

Q. What if the weather is terrible?
A. April in Scotland is gloriously unpredictable. We plan for all of it. Outdoor sessions move indoors or adapt to the conditions. We do recommend that you bring waterproofs and suitable shoes to suit weather changes. The core of the retreat doesn’t depend on sunshine, though it’s significantly more magical when it shows up.

Q. Can I come on my own?
A. Of course. We have always attracted welcoming and friendly women who won’t leave you sitting on your own (unless you want to be). You’ll be sharing a lodge with two other women, but there’s space to be as social or as quiet as you need to be.

Q. Do I need to travel with someone to share a lodge?
A. No. We match lodge-mates, and we’re thoughtful about it. You do our best to place with someone you have something in common with.

Q. How do I get to Oban?
A. There’s a direct train from Glasgow Queen Street to Oban, one of the most beautiful rail journeys in Scotland. The journey takes around 3 hours. If you’re driving, it’s roughly 2.5 hours from Glasgow, 3 hours from Edinburgh.
