blog Mindset Selfcare

Are you trying to do too many things and getting nothing done?

How are you today? With Monday’s email going out on Tuesday afternoon, you will get a hint of where I am at this week… The to do list keeps growing and I just don’t seem to be getting things ticked off!

As a small business I am pretty much everything (apart from the tech things I can get Pamela my wonderful VA to do), I am marketing, sales, HR, customer services, content creator, blogger, vlogger, podcast host, writer, editor, graphic designer, tech support, social media manager, accountant…

All I want to do is teach movement, help you relax and help people live healthier and happier lives. But that’s not how a small business works, and I have ZERO desire to be employed… Freelance and collaborations, absolutely, employment, hell no!!

You might be wondering why I am telling you this and what it has to do with your well-being.

A lesson learned this week… Stay focused on one task until it’s complete before moving on to the next. We might think we can multi task, but really we are scattering our focus and energy and taking way longer than necessary to complete a task.

When it comes to your well-being and health, are you trying to change or do too many things in one go? Maybe you got caught up in the New Year with plans of changing your life and went for the new job, fitness routine, diet plan, new you plan… And maybe 4 weeks into the year you are feeling exhausted, everything is feeling difficult, you are not happier in any of the areas of your life and you have already or are ready to throw in the towel and revert back to your old ways.

Did you do the wheel of happiness task from last week? You can download a copy of one here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gK0l6bL2JpySlY42IkSA-xGwfKK…

What one thing can you bring your attention to and complete or establish until it becomes your new normal?

I was taking to my Pilates class yesterday morning about moving more – that doesn’t mean exercising, it means not sitting or standing still for so long.

I was speaking to someone else about getting properly hydrated every day, small regular sips throughout the day rather than downing a pint of water before bed.

What one thing can you do, and do consistently or to completion?

How can you make your life simpler, so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming?
