What the heck is the triple goddess?

The first person to speak to me about the triple goddess concept was my doctor at the Centre of Integrative Care when I asked him about menopause and going through that phase while living with a chronic health condition.

The Triple Goddess is a concept found in many neopagan and Wiccan traditions, which represents the three aspects of the feminine divine: Maiden, Mother, and Crone.

The Maiden represents youthfulness, new beginnings, and the energy of spring. She is often depicted as a young woman full of vitality and enthusiasm, embodying the spirit of growth, potential, and new life.

The Mother represents fertility, nurturing, and the energy of summer. She is often depicted as a mature woman who has the power to give birth, raise and care for children, and create abundance and prosperity.

The Crone represents wisdom, transformation, and the energy of winter. She is often depicted as an older woman who has lived through many experiences, gained knowledge, and is able to share her wisdom with others. She embodies the energy of endings and beginnings, and helps us to let go of what no longer serves us, so that we can move forward with renewed strength and insight.

Together, the Triple Goddess represents the cycles of life and nature, and reminds us of the importance of embracing each phase of our journey with reverence and respect. Many people find comfort and inspiration in connecting with the Triple Goddess as a symbol of the divine feminine and the power of nature.

Something I learned in therapy was the concept of acceptance – which would be embracing the phases. What I learned acceptance was, was staying present with the experience and not wishing it to be something else or fighting against the journey. It all gets easier when we lean in. Resting when needed. Moving, screaming, time alone, nourishment when needed…

Helping you take a step back to assess where you are and making a plan of how to move forward is something I cover in my book 9 Rules to Sort Your Shit which is available in print at Amazon here >>> https://amzn.to/42uVTQd or in audio here >>> www.iamjenwilson.com/audiobook
